Hi everybody!

I’m super excited to share my journey with you as I begin my 2025 Student Visionary of the Year campaign to raise funds for a cause that’s very close to my heart: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), which has profoundly impacted my family and me, providing crucial support when we needed it most over the past few years.

In early 2020, my grandfather Rob was diagnosed with lymphoma. It was a challenging time, but thanks to groundbreaking immunotherapy treatments funded by LLS, he achieved remission. Without LLS, his recovery would not have been possible. Their commitment to research not only saved my grandfather but also supports over 42,000 patients, with more than $241 million in grants provided to date.

My dad Rich, who won the very first Visionary of the Year award two years ago, raised just under $200,000 for LLS. Inspired by his success, I was determined to launch a campaign of my own. And so my goal is to surpass his award-winning amount and make an even bigger impact! 

I’m building a diverse team with members from all over the city, engaging with various corporations, and spreading awareness about LLS’s mission. Together, we’re working towards a future where no family has to face cancer alone.

I’ve witnessed the struggles of cancer firsthand and, even with all the progress LLS has made, I know there’s still a long way to go. Last year, my grandfather again dealt with another version of blood cancer, one with fewer known treatments, that would stand to benefit from further research efforts. Having seen all of this up close, I know firsthand the importance of support during those times. I want to give back and help others as LLS helped my family and ensure that other families won’t have to deal with as much uncertainty in the future. 

Last year, LLS’ LA student visionary class raised over $1.8 million, and I’m determined to continue that legacy. With your support, we can continue to fund essential research and provide the necessary resources for families battling cancer. Every little bit helps! So I appreciate any donation you can offer!
